To Walk This Earth Alone

I walk in this world, but I am not part of it.

I walk among the people of this world, but I stand apart from them.

For destined am I to walk this earth alone.

Never will I hold the woman I love in my arms. Or look in her eyes nor see her smile.

For destined am I to walk this earth alone.

Never will I marry. Or see the faces of my children nor hear them laugh.

For destined am I to walk this earth alone.

Till the day I die and am laid to rest, I walk this earth alone.

For I cannot fight Destiny.
